Yes, Happy 47th Birthday of continuous non-stop production unlike your crosstown rival who claims to be celebrating their 45th anniversary ASTERISK because they don't consider 8 years of non-production to mean anything.

While I agree with your point, just know that 8 years of absence > Camaro II

:tounge:

Anyways congrats to the Stang, one of the greatest American icons! beer

There is no question that the Mustang represents one of the most storied/decorated vehicles ever in production. Is there another single model to ever win more races than the Mustang (SCCA, T/A, NHRA etc etc)? If there is, kudo to it, but I doubt it.

While there are model years to forget, the vast majority have been stellar.

Happy Birthday, Mustang! :2thumbsup:

I would like to buy one, if the budget could fit it in. sad

I would seriously opt for a V6 though. I don't care what anyone says about it being this or that. It's a V6 with 300 freaking HP, 30MPG, RWD, and looks sweet.

I grew up hating the Mustank and never had any personal affection for it.

Corvette was my dream car.

Nevertheless Happy Birthday and most importantly, Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwww Aamerikah! cowboy

Not to be too pompous,
But it's actually 305 hp and 31 mpg and a whole let less weight than the other heffers out there and handles much better too wink

Oh, and costs less too smile

I too would hate a car that has far more heritage, performance and value for the money, than my beloved car/brand smile

lmao

Happy birthday Mustang even though I feel from 1974 to 2003 Mustangs were Mustangs in spirit only. However, Ford managed to keep the fire burning so kudos to Ford! Gotta' admit, the Boss is one smokin' hot ride!beer

I'll grant you the Mustang II years (1974-1978), but 1979-2003 you don't think were true Mustangs???? Shit - the Gen 3 (1979-1993) was a groundbreaking design and the Gen 4 (1994-2004) is still immensely popular with Mustang afficianandos.

Ironically, the Mustang II was a huge success for Ford, selling over 1 million units in 4 years - so it was definitely the right car at the right time.

Look Neburg, I never said I would not own one! But I just don't have the same love for the 1973-03 'stangs. And before this gets any further, I am not bashing the Mustang...okay? My vision of a Mustang is a '70 Mach 1 or maybe a '69 Boss 302, or '65 Shelby, not an '86 LX 5.0 coupe. By the way Neburg and all the other Ford fans I may have offended, I drove several Mustang ll's including a couple of late seventies Cobra ll's I liked them alot! I thought they were nice cars but given a Choice, give me a '70 Mach 1 in black jade or acupulco blue with a 351(I am not greedy) and I am one happy biatch!
